Anyone else feel like they are watching more TV?

The older she gets, the harder it is to keep her entertained.  I feel like we have dramatically increased our TV watching. Especially on no nap days!
Even after all of the books, activities, toy playing, etc, etc.... 
Anyone else?

Yes. I don’t really worry about it. He watches it sometimes, but he’s mostly running around instead of staring at it. 
It’s the only way I can get stuff done or keep him entertained!

Oh yeah - honestly it increased drastically when winter came and the weather got colder. My daughter and I used to go on 1.5hr walks in the summer and fall and maybe she’d get 15min of TV a day if that but mostly we’d just play all day and go outside all the time. With it as cold as it is, I feel stuck inside. Also I’m 14w pregnant so I’m exhausted entertaining my toddler all day indoors on top of the fatigue so we rely on the tv pretty heavily now 🙈 it’s mostly when she’s fussy and I’m pooped after 2hrs of play. It’s definitely background noise a good amount of time though! But it’s needed these days!! No shame - I know my daughter is learning and doing so much more fulfilling things in her day aside from these desperate moments, so a little TV won’t hurt! 
Side note - what’s everyone’s LO’s favorite shows? My LO loves Twirly Woo’s on Netflix and Super Simple Songs on Amazon Prime!

Yeah I chose not to worry about screen time. Most of the time its just backgroud noise but she does watch some. I onlynthinknits a problem if their only entertainment is telivison. Even when we watch the tv i talk about whats happening. Her in the UK its cold and everythjng is shut there really isnt much more to do then watch the tv some afternoons.

We're usually so busy we only watch TV maybe once a week, and I honestly don't think my son cares for it because he doesn't watch anything for more than 10 seconds. Sometimes I wish he was more entertained by it to buy me a nap since I'm 36 weeks pregnant with our second lol 😴
I don't think it's a bad thing though, especially if it's not their only source of entertainment and they're watching educational stuff. We plan on watching the classics when he's older: Sesame Street, Flintstones, Jetsons, Looney Tunes, and tutorials so he learns how to do stuff. I refuse to watch annoying shows like Caillou and baby shark 😂

Yep my little guy is obsessed with Masha and bear cartoons so I let him watch it in evenings after long day at day care while I cook dinner relax after long day at work

We always have the tv on in the background but I noticed she will sit and watch it more now. She loves commercial jingles lol
