Is a videographer worth it?
Hi everyone, I’m newly engaged and getting married soon. As we’re planning our wedding we are trying very hard to stay within our strict budget. However, as we’re booking vendors and such we have noticed that we’ll actually have some money left over, which is great!!
However, we’re not sure what to do with it. I would love to have a videographer, but my fiancé is against the idea since we’ll already have a photographer and would rather use the extra money on our honeymoon. Don’t get me wrong, I want a nice honeymoon, but I really don’t think we’ll need that much and would just rather use some (not all) of that extra money and get a videographer.
I’m a very visual person and love videos and photos to commemorate events. My fiancé is very much not a visual person, so we’re having trouble agreeing.
My best friend just got married over the summer and while she had one of her guests video the ceremony, she said that she wished that she had an actual videographer to capture the day instead of only a few minutes (and not of high quality).
I don’t want to regret not having a videographer if it’s really worth it, but I don’t want to spend the money if it’s not. Like I said, we already have a photographer, so is it worth it?
Thank you!
