If no baby, then what?

Question

Have you considered what you would do if babies aren't in your future? 
Not to be a downer, but not everyone can get pregnant naturally or with help. 
What would you and your spouse do if you aren't able to conceive? Would you adopt, foster kids, or go childless?

This is a very real possibility for us...we're currently going through fertility treatments. I've had two IUIs and both have failed. We have already talked about adopting if we can't get pregnant.

I would try to adopt, either a child who was already born or embryo adoption. We have friends doing embryo adoption bc they feel strongly about saving the embryos left over from IVF. It’s been a bumpy road for them but I admire their love and commitment to saving those babies’ lives.

We would adopt, whether we have biological children or not. It’s something I’m really passionate about! My hubby is on the fence, but if we do not conceive by 30 (ugh 5 years away...) we will definitely adopt children and more dogs lol.

Quick story: Yesterday my partner and I were coming back from a hike. We were talking about a closely related member of my family who is pregnant but had issues keeping custody of her kids in the past, before I could even suggest it my partner immediately says ‘Well we would ask to take of her child for her then if she can’t.’ Basically he said we’d adopt that kid no second thoughts. And that was incredible to me because his heart is so big that without a second thought he’d help a child in need. Luckily this women is doing so much better as a person and while it took a while she’s shaping up to be an awesome mom to her two kids she has currently, they still live with their dad. 
Anyway, I know what you’re talking about and I won’t resign myself to a childless life because I believe God put it on me and my partners heart to be parents. We’ve talked about conceiving naturally and so far it’s looking like our health is checking out so God willing we can but we are absolutely going to adopt, but probably when we’re older (mid 20s rn) 
There’s nothing wrong with not having children, you can serve in other just as fulfilling ways but i feel called to raise a family. And besides I’m adopted myself so I know how hard it is on unwanted kids in the system.
