Do you think your child should have to thank you for going out to eat at a restaurant?

We have a 5 year old. Recently we took her out to a restaurant (since COVID it’s a rare occurrence). Once leaving she looked at her Dad and I and said thank you for taking her out to eat.

Since were her parents and my family said these things to me - I never want to hold food, shelter, electricity over her head since it’s basic needs parents are supposed to meet with their children. It got me thinking - should she say thank you when we take her out to eat or no because we’re just feeding her as we’re supposed to?
