How can I get my doctor to give me metformin?
I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was a healthy weight by my previous doctor. I’ve been a fat person the whole time I’ve been seeing my new Dr. I exercise regularly and have massively improved my diet (almost no processed food, reduced carbs, almost no red meat etc) yet I still gain weight. I’m not diabetic but I’m nearly convinced I’m insulin resistant. My doctor keeps preaching diet and exercise (I’m even on a medication for appetite reduction which doesn’t really make a difference as I don’t have a huge appetite but it does make it hard to sleep so yay). Anyway, how did any of y’all get your doctor to put you on metformin? I don’t want to become diabetic, I don’t want to end up on my 600 lb life. The last 10 pounds have fucked my knees. I’m so tired of this.
