Toddlers and frequent wake ups

We recently moved our toddler to a big girl bed. It has not been going great.

She asks to cuddle EVERY night. And I cuddle with her because I know she won’t be little long, and listening to her cry is really hard. I realize I may have started a bad habit, because now she’s waking up a few times in the night and will not go back to sleep until one of us lays with her.

What can I do about this? I’m having a hard time listening to her cry when we put her down, but I feel like that may be my only option. 😞
