Bleeding after IUD removal?

Hi! I just had my mirena removed on Thursday due to excessive bleeding (I just couldn’t take it anymore. I spotted for 8 months after insertion and my periods on the mirena were 2-3 weeks long). Well, yesterday, the day after the removal, I started bleeding. Now it’s clots and heavy bleeding and sort of feels like my period. Is this normal? I’m soooo tired of bleeding. I regret putting this iud in because it’s been nothing but bleeding for a year and a half.
