Weighted blankets

Has anyone used them on their older toddlers? My guy is 3 and is hit and miss on sleeping at night. He goes in streaks of sleeping all the way through, and then he’ll wake up multiple times a night screaming, and then wakes up early. And this goes on for 2-3 weeks. Then normal sleep for 2-3 weeks. We bring him into bed with us and he thrashes the whole time. I have a friend who just got one for her daughter, but she’s a few years older. Him and June baby share a room and it’s starting to affect her sleep too.
