FRER INDENT LINES EXPLAINED!!!-you have to read this!🤯

Okay so I found this really intersting so I had to share.

I just got off the phone with a FRER representative asking about those faint lines and false postives. She was extremely kind and told me this:

They added those visible lines that pop up in the time frame to let the customer know that the test has functioned properly. The ink has gone over it and tested for HCG, and if a white/grey line or anything but pink, that's all it means. That the test has functioned properly and it is NOT a postive result. She says customers were upset that they were getting completely blank tests with nothing and they didn't know if it had worked or not or if it was a false negative. And THAT'S why they added the indent line.

She told me what she tells all customers to do to differentiate between a postive and an indent line is to set the test on a flat counter, and take a step BACK then look down at the test..if you can see a faint pink line it had detected HCG. She mentioned as well that if you shine a light on your test you can see color that may not be there as there could be dye BEHIND the indent line...

Interestingly she also told me that first response does NOT have an HCG detection threshold!! Meaning it doesn't have to be 8 or 6.5 or whatever, it can be literally 2 and the test can pick it up. It picks up ANY HCG in urine period and this is why they always reccomend to follow up and confirm with a doctor. She said the digitals were just as if not MORE sensitive than the line tests!

Overall she was really sweet and gave me a coupon for another box to retest. I haven't fact checked any of this I just found it really interesting.

Thanks for reading!!
