I would call the pediatrician and see what they recommend I do, whether that be take him in or treat or at home.

This happened a few months ago in the middle of the night she was miserable so my hubby called our drs 24 hr line to see what they recommended. They said Tylenol first to see if that helps. I put her in cooler jammies gave her ice water and tyke and it helped a lot we ended up not having to take her in. Idk how your office is doing their covid rules but ours she would only have been allowed an appointment for a sick visit they do well visits before lunch sick after and I didn’t want to have to take her to the office with all the other sick kids if I didn’t have to.

Take in for fevers only if at home medicines don't touch it at all and/or child is hard to wake.

My kid gets crazy high fevers easily. It’s gotten up to 105 before (which I definitely did call his doc about). But pretty much for anything 103ish and under, my doc told me to give him medicine and as long as it comes down/responds to medicine, he’s eating and drinking okay, and he isn’t acting lethargic, unresponsive, etc not to worry about bringing him in unless it lasts for more than 2 days and doesn’t seem to be resolving.
