How should I go about this?
Hello, new registered nurse here. I applied to a job and got an interview from the recruiter today. It’s a 2 part interview process for this company. You speak with a recruiter and then if they like you, you then interview with the hiring manager of the unit which you applied to. Well after speaking with the recruiter she told me they had high turnover rates and a new manager so the unit isn’t stable but they are getting it in order! I wasn’t impressed at all but I ended up letting her set up the interview with the hiring manager. So the interview is tomorrow! I don’t want to just not interview since I accepted it. I don’t want to be a no call no show as it can possibly ruin my chances on getting a job within another unit with this same company. It’s a video call Interview so I was thinking maybe before the interview started I could ask the interviewer if it’s ok to ask a question first before he/she started the interview. My question was gonna be about their turnover rates for the unit which I already know and have been told are high. Once the interviewer says that I was gonna politely decline the position before they proceeded and thank them for their time. Would this be rude? I don’t want to sit through them asking questions and me answering knowing I’m gonna decline at the end. It’s my first job ever honestly and I just don’t know how to do go about it. I don’t want to be rude 😭
