Late ovulation

So I had a really late ovulation day 35 of my cycle. I tested everyday and was loosing hope that I wouldn’t be ovulating this month. My cycles are irregular so there’s that. I got a super dark ovulation test on Wednesday December 30th. Stayed dark for three days. We BDed prior and after and on those days.

When is the earliest I should test. Also does anyone believe in signs from above. These happened the weekend after ovulation.
