Clomid for baby 1, what about baby 2?

I had to go on clomid for baby #1 and now starting to try for baby #2. I want to avoid the stress and the disappointment but wondering if anyone conceived baby #2 without clomid after being on clomid for #1. Thanks!

I took clomid with my first after trying for over 2 years. When I had my check up after having my son I asked him about it and said if I felt I needed it I would have to wait 3 cycles regular and 6 cycles if irregular. Needless to say I'm on clomid right now for baby number 2.
