Not rolling, not crawilng

Zada

Hello august mamas and papas.

My girl just turned 5months, babbles, laughs, sleeps almost through the night with day naps too... but is showing no signs of crawling or rolling. Really dislikes tummy time and is much more interested in trying to walk.

She holds her head with no problems, but still needs help to sit.

I’m a little concerned. Anyone else experiencing this?

Mine will be 5 months on the 13th. She don’t give AF about rolling right now. And that’s definitely okay!! I know her time will come. Not worried about each milestone anymore after my first kid. Unless need to be! My son started walking at 12 months my niece started walking at 18 months!

All babies do it on their own timeline. My baby just turned 5 months and has rolled a handful of times. My first didn’t start rolling till 7+months and wasn’t crawling until a year old.

Every baby is different. Talk to the pediatrician if you have concerns. It sounds normal to me.

My son is the exact same. It’s normal. I have a friend who’s baby is almost 8 months and he doesn’t even sit alone yet.

Babies don’t crawl until around 9 months usually so I really don’t think that’s anything to be concerned about. My baby rolls at 5 months but I know others the same age who aren’t showing any interest

My baby is almost 5.5 months and has rolled like 2 times. When she’s doing tummy time she gets up on her knees but lays her torso and head on the floor. She sits up with assistance but if I let go of her she’ll topple over. Every baby develops on their own timeline that’s why following milestones is kinda stupid in my opinion. Some babies skip certain milestones some babies hit every one, some babies are right on time and some take longer! It’s all totally normal. If baby doesn’t seem to be doing things like laughing, smiling babbling etc on top of not crawling/rolling then I’d bring it up to the ped but you said your babe is already interested in walking you may have a baby who just says screw floor time I’m gonna get up and walk at 8 months lolI know it’s hard not to worry when it’s drilled into our heads that baby needs to be doing certain things by a certain age but every baby is sooo different so to say they should all be displaying the same skills at the same age just doesn’t make sense. I bet in a few months you’ll be back on the group post saying baby is walking already! ❤️
