is it possible for your breasts to be bigger (and sore) before you ever test positive?

probably about 9 or 10 dpo and my boobs HURT and they look larger and feel heavier. my nipples are larger as well. is this possible to experience before a bfp? i have a shorter cycle so i don’t expect a positive test yet. 
please help a girl out

An increase in Progesterone is one of the main causes of breast swelling, tenderness/soreness. Progesterone rises after we ovulate, whether we get pregnant that cycle or not. So it can happen before a BFP, or before your next expected period. It doesn’t mean you are or aren’t pregnant, or that you will or won’t get your period.
