Postpartum recovery
I’m 11 +1 wks pp and just wanted to check in on everyone and ask a question or two. How is everyone doing/healing?
I’m 99.9% sure that I have/had really separation of my abdominal muscles. I’m still having trouble getting up from a seated or prone position (I literally fall back into the chair) and my lower abs are still tender. Also, my back is still tender from 2 epidurals.
I just started easing back into my walking routine this week (starting with two miles 3-5 days a week), and it hurt... like I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck lol. I should mention that I was very inactive the last two months of my pregnancy due to not being able to walk thanks to my hip constantly popping out of place...
This is my second baby, but my first time having to deal with any of this. Can anyone recommend any exercises specifically for getting my core area to come back together? It would be great to be able to lay the baby in her bed without waking her up from falling back into the chair 🤦♀️
