How soon is “too soon”?

Okay guys - I am totally new at this. My partner and I literally just recently decided to start trying for a baby this past month. We started on prenatal and fertility supplements (both of us) and have been BDing like mad the last week.

I have super long periods. No PCOS (at least not diagnosed), but my periods are between 35-40 days apart. I still ovulate every month, but it’s much later in my cycle than most women’s. The Glow app I’m finding has a bit of trouble with this, but i’m rolling with it.

After taking (what felt like) tons of OPK tests last week and believing I’d already ovulated like Glow said I had, I suddenly got INSANELY dark lines out of nowhere Sunday. Splurge on a digital and lo and behold - I was peaking! Baby dance started!

Now on to my question - how soon is “too soon” to be feeling “different” if you’re pregnant. I FULLY admit I am not expecting it this month, but that’s also what makes me think this might not be in my head. I’m about 5-6 DPO (depending on if I ovulated Sat/Sun) and the last two days I’ve just felt weird. Cramping a bit, but not my normal AF cramps, which get super severe, especially after I eat. These are specifically on my left and just feel like a small pressure/stitch. Food isn’t running through me like it usually is at this point in my cycle. No spotting yet. My boobs don’t just feel sore, they feel ... heavy?? Weird?? Idk how to even describe it. Again, not my normal pre-af symptoms. I’ve got gas like you wouldn’t believe and that’s totally new!

Am I insane?? Is this all in my head?! It’s fine to tell me that 😂. I legit feel silly posting here, but I don’t wanna tell my partner and get his hopes up for something that most likely ISN’T actually happening. I’m being realistic here.

TL;DR - how early is too early to feel symptoms of pregnancy? For those who are /have been pregnant, when did you first “know” or feel something?
