What kind of diapers & wipes to buy for newborn?

First pregnancy and I’m due in May but I’d like to start picking up some diapers & wipes. What are some recommendations? Thanks everyone! 😊

Pampers swaddlers are the best in my opinion! I tried lower cost target brands once and my little one got a rash! I’ve tried Huggies and honest brand But I always bought pampers and swear by them

Pampers swaddlers are top notch. Every baby is different but I tried like 8 brands with my son and hands down pampers won every time.
Water wipes brand wipes are best if you have a sensitive skin baby. I personally can’t stand the smell that most other wipes have. Pampers wipes just have an odor.. huggies anything gave my son the worst rashes. Honest baby was bleh, luvs leaked, etc. For me it is pampers diapers and water wipes for wipes. I’ll never use anything else!

I only use huggies or rascal and friends for my boys, they rest are a hit and miss for use really with leaking so don’t bother with other brands anymore 
Wipes I only use either fragrance free or water wipes and we all have sensitive skin and eczema so no fragrance products for us

Buy small packs of each brand! It will give you a chance to pick which ones work best for you and baby. I loved huggies snug and dry when they were newborns and switched to luvs when they got into size 2 diapers.

If your having a baby shower, even a virtual one,  I did a diaper raffle. Everyone that brought a pack of diapers got a ticket and there was a prize for the winner.  It lasted us almost a year with all the diapers and we got to try all the brands.

You are going to have to test out diapers honestly. Some swear by pampers/huggies and some swear by luvs and other brands even off brands.
The reality is your baby’s skin could be sensitive and require either of a very specific brand.
I like luvs they helped a ton with leaks and none of my kids have had any issues with skin irritation using them. But they have had issues with other brands.
Wipes I feel like you can get away with either unless baby has eczema.
