False chlamydia results?

Question

So I guess during pregnancy they automatically screen you for chlamydia without even asking even if you're married and I received positive results. I've been with my husband faithfully for 10 years so I haven't been screened for it since our last pregnancy 9 years ago which was negative. 
Obviously I told my husband and this has caused a huge mess in our marriage. When he went to get screened they did a urine sample and just automatically gave him antibiotics because of my positive results and then sent his sample to a lab to confirm. Today his results came back negative so now we are totally confused. 
Has anyone had a false positive chlamydia test ever or during pregnancy? If I had it my husband had to have had it as well correct? I never in a million years would have thought he cheated without getting these results. My husband has stuck to saying he has been faithful and I know for a fact I have ALWAYS been faithful but now I'm looking guilty because of my positive and his negative results. We can't even retest because we have both already been treated. What a nightmare. 
Anyways, just wondering if anyone has any insight for me prior to my next appointment. Thank you!

He may have cheated then gotten tested and got treated before you  Got tested so now it looks like your guilty, might not be true but I read into things too much

Of course they screen you for everything in pregnancy to make sure you’re healthy thank goodness they did too. It means he is cheating and lying, if you haven’t.

I think he had it but managed to get treated before u. He knew u was going to get tested soon because of ur first pregnancy.. he may of remembered.. and quickly got checked.

Yeah .. more likely to get a false negative - or he lied about his results. If you can view his results yourself that will clear that up. I second that first commenters thoughts.

Highly unlikely it’s false positive ... I mean if you know YOU have been faithful it can only mean one thing :/  sounds like a sucky situation . Of course men won’t admit to cheating so idk how u guys will ever figure this out but if you know you  have been 100000000% faithful then the bad news is he had it or got it from somewhere :/ more than likely that’s the odds

I would assume he cheated or lied about his results. He could have even been took care of his situation before u checked yourself

I actually just went through this about 3 months ago and had a false positive. My doctor said it actually happens more often than you think which is why she tends to schedule an immediate follow up test to confirm if her patients test positive. She said in her 10 years of work she’s had it happen 3 other times not including me.

So they automatically test you when your pregnant because it causes a big risk if left untreated. False positive is unlikely, you didn't cheat so I'm guessing he got tested earlier and got the meds. I would do some digging don't let him blame it on you.
