Need advice! Weird period

My periods are normally regular 26days.

I was meant to start on mon/tues but didn’t and just thought I’m late bcos I have had a late period in the past.

Yesterday I started having cramps and knew Af was on its way!! I was right and I did see some red blood and felt relieved that my body was at least working.

But then this morning there’s nothing except some brown spotting.

Normally my periods start red and stay red for at least 3/4days.

This is not normal for me at all. What could it be???? Is it possible to have a period last less than 24hours? I was spotting brown before it started and am still seeing brown which again is not normal for me, so do I just count the brown spotting as my period now?
