Talking?

Does your baby talk a lot? Mine doesn’t. She’s into making raspberry sounds currently. Last month she said the “baba” sound. She “talked” a lot around 3/4 months then it stopped. I wasn’t worried about it until my mom started staying stuff. 😒 She keeps saying she’s too old to not say anything. She’s one of the younger May babies because she born at the very end of the month.

Mine has been talking since 4 months, he now says dada, daddy, mom, momma, mommy, no, and there’s one more word he says but I just can’t think of at the moment.

Mine also babbled a lot around 4 months and stopped but has started again at 8 months. Babies tend to stop doing things when learning and working on new milestones and skills. I wouldn’t worry!

My baby talked a lot around 3/4 months too and then stopped until recently. He babbles a lot and just started blowing raspberries too. He says mama when he cries but other than that, it’s all babbles. And our May babies are still young!! I wouldn’t worry at this time. My nephew didn’t start babbling a lot until he was about 8/9 months old.

Don’t listen to your mom. Most babies don’t say read words until around a year (or later), at this age they are just making noise. And all babies have different personalities. My 3 year old was a quiet baby and is still a quiet kid, who is very smart, talks im complete sentences and can carry a conversation.

Mine is also a late May baby and is doing exactly what you described, we only communicate through raspberries lol I'm trying not to worry since he's hitting other milestones

My oldest wasn't a big talker but by 18 months he could follow two step directions so he was taking it all in. He's 6 now and doesn't stop talking. This baby is a talker. My mom would say things about my oldest not talking it would freak me out and I would go into his appointments with the pediatrician a worried mess with a million questions.

My 7 month old doesn't say anything, just screams and squeals. If it makes you feel better my friends almost 4 year old doesn't hardly talk, he can and knows how, just chooses not to.
