Tooth extraction

I had a root canal done 10 years ago but the crown broke off during pregnancy and there's no tooth left to save. I know I will have to get it surgically extracted since its under gum line.

I have extreme dental phobia and have had anxiety thinking about it the past few weeks.

Has anyone had surgical extraction that turned out not to be extremely painful afterwards? Im scared of the extraction and the healing time 😔
