Contractions on one side?

Did anyone experience contractions on one side? I have been having sharp shooting pains that I think are Braxton Hicks for the last few days. Each day it gets a little worse but it isn’t in any sort of times interval or anything to make me think I am in labor. I’m just wondering if the pain being on one side is normal or if something is wrong. I am 38 weeks.

I’ve experienced this a couple days ago. 
I had it on one side and it shot down my inner thigh. It only lasted for a few seconds & then came back a couple mins later & then went away. I think it’s just false contractions to prepare us for the real thing.

Weird I just woke up from having this all night but it was mainly when I laid a certain way and only on one side . So I thought it was a really intense ligament pain but idk everything’s confusing at this point
