Virtual baby shower advice?

Hello! My friend is thinking of throwing me a baby shower April 10th, but given the climate of the pandemic I'm leaning towards a virtual shower to be safe... Has anyone been to one or planning one that has any advice?
 I'd much rather have one in person because it makes more sense with the food/take home trinkets... Do you give anything to guests of it's virtual?

Im having a virtual one in February using Zoom. It’ll be 1 hour long, here’s by party timeline:
2-210: welcome
210-235pm: let the games begin!
235-250pm: bring on the presents 🎁 
250-3pm: farewell dessert & toast 🥂
For games we are playing scavenger hunt, bingo and charades. I’m sending thank you cards afterwards. I don’t think it’ll be that bad!

My sister is throwing a virtual shower for me in March! I have a large family, so we will likely have family on for half, and friends for the second half. She’s planning to order a cake near where I live (family is out of state) and one of my good friends here has offered to quarantine and decorate day of at my house. It’s definitely not what I pictured, but I’m happy we still get to celebrate, even if it looks different.

Im also curious to see what others say for virtual ideas!
I too have been having a hard time deciding between virtual or in person. I just feel like virtual or even a drive by shower doesn't give me the same feeling of a "fun family event" as in person but i guess that's normal since we're not used to this way 
Being due May I'm thinking of waiting until end of summer to give more time for our covid sitch to possibly improve, so far im leaning towards an outdoor in person thing, might be okay- as long as everyone keeps their distance from baby 😄

I decided against a baby shower and instead I’m going to have an in-person “meet and greet”/ “sip and see” outside during the summer. We’ll have to buy everything for the baby’s arrival (we’ve also been given a ton of hand me downs which has been amazing), but I figured we’ll definitely need more stuff a few months in. Plus it can be more fun gifts like clothes, toys, and books which people prefer to give anyways!

Why don’t you do a drive by shower? People can drop off gifts & you can say hi from afar! Give them a favor to go!
