The good news is that the placenta is genetically and physically connected to the baby and the pregnancy. That means you get a whole new one with a new pregnancy. There’s no reason to think there’s be problems with a new placenta, since it is genetically and physically completely different than your last. They may watch you a little more closely just for peace of minds (more ultrasounds most likely), but you should be good.
Has anyone had a placenta abruption with 2nd pregnancy?
Hello! Im Lisa! I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant! I have my first prenatal appointment tomorrow. With my last pregnancy over 4 years ago I was in preterm labor due to a placenta abruption. I gave birth at 30 weeks. Now I'm pregnant again and now I'm worried how its going to be now that I have a history of a placenta abruption. What happen with yall after you did have placenta problems?
