Just need to vent...

So let me start by saying - my heart aches for those mamas who are doing this alone - for those who's partners are either working, serving our country, or just not around.

Yesterday my husband got home from work about 3:30. His mom was watching our babe, so he stayed in the living room with them. At 4:45 babe was obviously over tired so I fished work a little early to make sure she got to sleep before 5.

My husband then went to feed our animals, he usually drinks beer with his brother in the basement. After her nap ended at 6 we went downstairs to visit. I have to hold her since our basement has a dirt floor and she was just squirming like crazy so I said goodbye to my BIl and told my husband I'd have dinner done about 7 30.

Well my husband ended up going to his brothers basement (they live next door) I had some work to finish up so I said I wasnt going over.

Anyways...our baby crawled for the first time ever last night and it just really sucked that my husband wasnt there to see it.

By the time he came home (8:30) she was just about asleep so he never saw her crawl.

Today his mom is here again and was gushing about how our babe waited until daddy was home to crawl. I didnt say anything cause it would be pointless but it definitely upset me that he missed such a milestone, not cause he was at work - or doing something productive but because he wanted to hang out with his brother who he see EVERY.DAY.
