Family is overrated

My baby just turned one and my best friend sent a very touching gift for my daughter, came for my baby shower after she had a back injury and flew in while permanently moving from one state to another ( my state was not even on the way), gave 3 gifts for my baby shower.

She and my My brother lived in the same state. My brother didn't even come for baby shower, dint send any gift for baby shower nor her birthday. My brother video chatted with my daughter on her birthday and his wife was on the other side of the room, didn't even bother to wish her. She just sent me a plain text wishing for her birthday. I really wish I had a sister, like REALLY. Today I received the gift from my best friend and I am sooo touched. It's not the value of the gift that matters, it's just a small gesture which does!
