My 5 almost 6 year old son just confessed to peeing on his carpet in his room at night. We moved in with my boyfriend almost a year ago and they have a wonderful relationship. My boyfriend has been more of a dad than his real dad has and they love each other very much. Why would my son do something like this? Everything I read online says stress or emotional issues but I can’t think of anything. We sit down weekly just him and I and talk, I always ask if he is happy and try to see how he feels about anything and everything. I’m just at a loss. I did not yell nor get mad when he told me as I asked if he had been but he was honest and I don’t get mad when your honest only when you lie. I told him that it was gross and that we don’t do that and if we need to go potty in the middle of the night we get up and go and yes he has been potty trained for a long time and he is not wetting the bed just the floor next to his bed. I just don’t know what to do. 😭😭😭😭😭
