Birth control

Ladies!! I’m hoping some of you have been where I am , and can give me some insight:)

So I was taking the low dose combination pill for 7 years, I went off of it for 6 months and had the WORST back acne I have ever experienced. So I talked to my doctor, and she put me on the mini pill due to my history of ocular migraines, it isn’t safe for me to have estrogen anymore.

Now my periods have always been pretty regular, and tolerable, even off of the pill (I’m fortunate) but this progesterone pill has made my cramps awful and I’m bleeding through everything!! This is crazy.

Has anyone ever experienced heavier periods on the mini pill, if so, what did your doctor recommended?

I have my yearly February 1st, but I’m just curious:)
