What are the signs your baby was ready for potty training?

I’m clueless truly about potty training. What are the signs I should be watching out for?

I read recently that babies are born ready and that "readiness" signs aren't real. Before diapers were invented we just did our business where we learned to - diapers are not biologically normal. Up until now your baby has learnt to do their business in a diaper, and it's just about re-learning so I wouldn't worry too much about "readiness" - you can potty train as young or as old as you want as long as you're persistent - just like sleeping, regressions are fairly common and really threw me off at first. We started with Ivy because she use to rip her diaper off as soon as she peed, hid in the corner to poop and had a very easy tell when she was weeing (she would crouch) which we had took as "readiness". This was around 13 months, but we didn't properly start until 15 months and didn't do underwear until 18 months.

For us he had been tugging at his diaper a few days in a row which lead to a rash, the day the rash started he ripped his diapers apart so I bought him undies. That first night we noticed he held it during the entire night, so we repeated it. So we assumed he was ready bc he would look down when he was about to pee and said “peepee” to us. It was all him. I take 0 credit for it lol but if you can find a sign that leads up to them peeing, you can pick them up and sit them on the potty over and over again.

For us, I got a potty and he went on it and was so excited about it. Hes fully potty trained now (well, we sometimes use a pull up for naps and still use a diaper overnight).
