Covid question
Anyone with Covid hospitalization experience as a nurse or family member? My grandfather is being moved out of the Covid unit and into an “intermediate room.” But we are unclear what that means for his care and prognosis? Anyone with experience know what am intermediate room would be??
The benefit would be that my grandmother is finally able to go see him after a week of being apart. She is so anxious to pray over him, hold his hand, and tell him she loves him 💕 However, his oxygen levels are getting worse and he’s becoming more dependent on the oxygen flow. He developed an ulcer yesterday and had some internal bleeding. At his worst, he’s hallucinating. At his best, his speech is slurred and he is disoriented. I tried calling today but he didn’t pick up. My dad said he is too weak to talk anyways. They won’t ventilate him because per the doctor, “it will absolutely kill him so what’s the point.” 😞 since it doesn’t seem like he’s getting better, I’m assuming that this room is a type of compassionate care that allows him to go on his own time and for my grandmother to be with him? Any help?
