Covid vaccine: to take or not to take?

Hello ladies. My husband and I are TTC #1 and as I’m an educator I’ve been given an opportunity to take the Covid vaccine but I’m not sure if it’s something I should do and if it’ll affect my trying to conceive. Does anyone have any thoughts or knowledge of this? TIA 💗

I'm in the same position as you, except we're are TTC #2. I'm happy to put my plans on hold (even though I'm on Metformin and the side effects are bonkers!) to get the vaccine first. I'm going to wait a few months and after I'm fully vaccinated, we will go back to trying. I've been on Metformin since Oct. and I could have started trying this month, but for me the risks of not being vaccinated and getting sick while pregnant were too high. I would hate to get sick and then wish I had gotten the vaccine. Even if I do get sick, at least I know I did everything in my power to protect myself, my family, and 🤞 hopefully soon, the little baby. Waiting a few months isn't fun, but it's better than getting covid. 🤷

My fertility NP and my OB encouraged me to get it. I’m in TWW and just got my first dose today. This in the US

Hey so I’m also ttc for my first one at 31.
 I work as a care assistant and I had the covid vaccine on last Saturday. 
When I weighed up the risks not only to myself and husband but also to the men and women I look after every day, it was the only choice I could make. 
The problem is with the vaccine and pregnancy is that there is only theory’s. Now what the majority of them are saying is that there is a very small (like tiny) chance of that the vaccine effecting the foetus. But they have no evidence to back up this theory yet. 
On the other hand I’ve actually seen the virus in action. Some of my residents have died, I’ve had colleagues in hospital, some being off for over a month, another still getting tired and out of breath after being covid free for over 3 months. I count every blessing that I haven’t actually contacted the virus myself even though I the change of me getting if where so high. 
So yes I had the vaccine, even though I’m trying for my first ever baby.

Honestly with so little known about the side effects and long term affects I wouldn’t but that’s just my opinion

I’ve been going back and forth about this. I’ve heard multiple different stories. My OB said for me to wait and my sister (who is a nurse practitioner) recommended I wait as well. I think the reasoning is just that there is not enough data for women TTC and the vaccine. I do know several pregnant healthcare workers who have gotten it because it passes antibodies to the baby once it’s born.
