Deciding how far you want to go for treatment
I hope this is okay to post. But is there anyone out there who :
1. Has a stronger desire than their partner for a child , even though they are “on board” ?
I am feeling like I would be open to trying ivf if my specialist says that’s what we need.
I cannot say for certain my husband would be as open. We have a friend who went through a few cycles and decided to adopt. This friend and his experience has probably soured my husbands opinion of ivf since his friend had such a hard time and did so many unsuccessful cycles.
I am trying to wait until after our doctor gives us her diagnosis before bringing up ivf. I know my husband will say “you don’t even know what the doctor will suggest yet”, so I’m hoping if the doctor says it - he will be more open to discussing it later. (If that makes any sense). I think my husband believes it could still happen for us naturally .
Anyway, if anyone can relate I would love to feel less alone.
