Hope everyone is remaining safe. I’m a certified nurses aide. I work with a client who’s a woman in her 80s at a facility. I use my gloves, masks , etc universal precautions.....I’m her individual caregiver. Well through word of mouth and a fwd text I’m so upset. My friend got a message from my job because her and i work with the same company and they had a call out . She asked me if I knew that the lady I take care of tested positive for Covid? I told her no the job didn’t tell me. She showed me the message about our job needed a fill in aide due to the fact my client has Covid 19! I worked 7 days till my day off was Thursday. My job never told me anyone if this. I’m beyond frustrated. Scared. I have an elderly mother who I live with and my brother is 60 and they aren’t both in the greatest health. Now to tell them the news that they both need to go get tested because I was around someone who tested positive and never knew and if I have it I could have passed it to them. I know of being around someone who tested positive you’re supposed to remain quarantined! But my job let me be exposed with no warning or a anything!
