How do I know I’m in love?

I’m 26 years old and I still don’t even think I know what love is.. when I’m dating someone I feel like I have a lot of love for them. I become head over heels for them, infatuated with them but I think it’s the “puppy” stage. How will I know if I’m in love? I recently started dating this guy (a month in) and he goes above and beyond for me, I have a lot of love for him but I just want to understand this better.

Hmmm. I would say you know youre in love when you want to be around the person and miss the person when they are away. You would be willing to sacrafice something of value or go above and beyond for them. Also youve tested their loyalty and commitment and they succeed which leaves u feeling attached. 
    But u can love the wrong person. You know it right person when it balances you. Your wants and needs are met mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially.

I don’t know what to say aside from that you just know. I was so, so uncomfortable with most men and not cuddly. I would  fall asleep cuddling my husband immediately when we started dating. I was never overly attached, and I actually teared up when he had to leave (we lived a few hours apart for a while). It felt so right, and we seemed like we’d known each other forever.
