12 weeks haven’t gained weight ?!

I am 30 lbs over weight pre pregnancy. Could that explain why I haven’t gained weight yet? I’ve been to my ultrasounds and check ups and everything is good but wondering if I should be gaining weight by now ? I’m still experiencing nausea and vomiting and excessive saliva and flem. Hoping it goes away very soon!!!

I lost weight my first trimester and only ended up gaining 13 pounds total my last pregnancy, which was totally fine as I'm plus sized. I hope the same thing happens this time around!

I've noticed most people don't really gain any weight until the 2nd trimester. If they do gain in the first, its only a little bit

Totally normal. If you're overweight, the goal is 10-20lbs for the entire pregnancy. Some doctors care more than others.

I didn’t start gaining weight until sometime in the second trimester with my first, and then the last two months was when I gained at least half of the weight.

Lots of people don’t gain much in the first trimester, some even lose. During my first pregnancy I didn’t gain any weight until 20 weeks, doctor said it was fine as I was earring really well and baby was growing.
Now in my second pregnancy I am also 12 weeks and have gained about 5lbs but let me tell you, that has NOTHING to do with the pregnancy and EVERYTHING to do with the food I ate over Christmas 🤣

If you were overweight before rpeg you aren't supposed to actual gain another. I think max 10 lbs and thats over the entire 9 months. Check in with you doctor what your goal weight gain should be

I lost 25 lbs and haven't gained any back at 15 weeks. My doctor isn't concerned. Prepregnancy my BMI was 29, so I had some to give up. Nausea plays a big role in how much and what you can eat. As long as you're eating well it's fine, baby gets all they need from you.

I am 16 weeks and I have only gained 2 pounds. I really haven’t gained anything compared to pre pregnancy bc I think I lost some in my first trimester from nausea. I think thats normal
