Is/ was your baby sitting at 7 months?

Question

My baby boy will be 7 months in two days and has absolutely no interest in sitting. He will sit in between my legs or in his baby chair,  but he will always push back or fall over and roll himself to his tummy or back.
What can I do to encourage him to sit?

The best thing to do for all motor skills is TONS of tummy time. Strengthens their abs, back muscles and every muscle needed to sit and crawl and walk :) it’ll come!!

Place a boppy just behind him so he feels it against his back but it’s not supporting him. My son didn’t want to sit much at this age either and didn’t walk super early but is fine now at 2.

Link will 7 months on Tuesday he can sit up for about a min or so, but the last few days he has no interest. When I put him down in the floor to play he stiffens up and hold he legs out straight. He also started doing in when I put in his high chair. Hoping it just a phase.

Just keep sitting with him. Thats what we did. At 6 months my son barely sat up but we kept at it and now he sits up unassisted at 7 months for over an hour at a time

My baby was doing the same thing close to and at 7 months. Constantly pushing with his feet whenever I tried to get him to tripod sit or he’d lean forward and go down on his belly to lay down instead. He’ll be 7 months and two weeks on Wednesday and has only started to sit unsupported for a few seconds at a time maybe in the last week or so. I put him between my legs or put the boppy behind him with toys to play with, readjusting him until he got the hang of it,

That’s pretty normal for this age. I wouldn’t stress over it too much at this point. But Jennifer recommended us on the Facebook page this backpack pillow on Amazon and I def think you should look it up!

Sit with him, behing him and put your legs around him to help him be stable :)
