Paraguard

So i’m pregnant due February 22nd. i’ve been on the birth control pill before but i wanted to get an IUD so i didn’t have to worry about forgetting to take them, and when i was on the pill my depression and anxiety+ acne and weight got so incredibly bad, so i stopped taking them. My doctor told me that the paraguard IUD is hormone free, and works for up to ten years unless we decide to have more kids before then, has anyone else had the paraguard? what was your experience with it? does it make your period heavier with more cramps and does it still affect your hormones in some way?
