Is it my IUD?
I have a concern and I was hoping someone here had either also experienced it or could help.
The pictures below show what my period has been like for the last couple months.
I got my IUD placed about 2 years ago now. Despite having it, I got a normal period this entire time.
(Before my IUD I could go through more than half a box of tampons and pads in one period. With my IUD, the flow is much more controlled, still a lot of blood but not terrible.)
Fast forward (sorry, just want to provide enough info), I basically bled through most of November after my Last period in October. It was all normal. After December 4th it changed. I got my period again at the end, it lasted for 4 days (usually it’s 8-9) and it was literally so little that I could’ve used a pantry liner an been fine.
Now it’s January 18th & I’m having my period again, but, same thing, not enough flow to warrant even using a pad (if any at all) and I think it’s already going away.
Could it be that my IUD is finally working and eliminating my period? Does it usually take that long? Should I be concerned?
Sorry for this being so long. 😔🙏🏽
Edit: I’ve also been feeling cramps (sometimes faint sometimes not) on my lower right.
