No control line?

I tested today at 3 days late with a clear blue. It showed BFN but no control line popped up. Is this a true BFN or should I retest?

My BFN on clear blue never had a line. My positive tests did have the blue plus sign - some of them not even right away!

I’ve never used clear blue for any other pregnancies until today. I knew I shouldn’t have swayed from my first response lol.
