Ovulation 5 days after trigger?

I’m so confused. My doctor said I would ovulate 24-36 hours after trigger but I got a positive ovulation test today 5dpt🤔

HCG {tigger shot} and LH are actually similar in structure, so OPKs which are designed to pick up LH will also pick up HCG. So, until the HCG from the trigger shot is out of your system, you may keep getting positive OPKs (even though you already ovulated).

You shouldn't be taking ovulation tests. The trigger shot will make them posotive. It does not mean you are ovulating now
