Just curious, can your toddler count yet?

What are some good ways to teach them their numbers and ABCs?
I thought about making felt letters and making objects out of felt that start with each letter.

My daughter counts to 12. Singing songs about counting helps her more than anything else I have noticed.

My son can count and read to 50..he loves numbers

We never worked with him on such things, he will learn as all kids do. He knows a lot of detail about horses and animals and plays a lot of imaginary games and complex scenarios. But I don’t understand the need for ABCs and such. He does count to 10 but I don’t think I have ever mentioned 11 to him 😄 
I say let them learn what they are interested in and encourage their curiosity, rather than a bunch of meaningless characters they just repeat to please grown ups! 
I have noticed at daycare they started singing the abc song and I assume if he wants to learn he will learn there. His daycare is also “learning through play” philosophy so they likely won’t teach him explicitly.

Late to the party here, but my son got a little foam alphabet puzzle for Christmas(willing to be it was from the dollar store) and since then he’s learned all of his letters!

My LO counts to 20. I put it down to counting the stairs whenever we went up/down stairs for quite a while- it started off as a way to motivate him to walk down/up the stairs by himself rather than ask to be carried all the time.
