Just a little vent
I live in Canada, but I’m from Ireland and we had our first baby last June. I’m really, really struggling at the minute. I’m, generally, a practical and positive person but I’m just so sick of the isolation and loneliness during the day. I would just love some help and company when my husband is at work. I desperately miss my family. I feel awful that my parents have met my daughter once since she was born and God only knows when they’ll see her next. It’s just so relentless alllll day on my own with her. Don’t get me wrong - she’s the absolute love of my life - but I’d just love a little bit of time away from her every so often. Just a break. My husband is fantastic when he’s here - he’s really hands on with her and housework, but just the weekdays and the freezing weather since Christmas is really getting me down. I’m so fed up with COVID (aren’t we all?). Just venting because I hate burdening my husband or family with it. My husband does his best and there is nothing he can do about it, and my family will only worry about me.
