Circumcision problem?

So I’m new to the boy world... but I feel like something is wrong with my sons circumcision. It looks like he’s not even circumcised?? Like the skin almost completely covers it still... I’m so worried he will have to have it redone 😖😖

My little looked like this too. He actually had to have surgery on a inguinal hernia and I asked the surgeon about it. He said they don’t cut off too much skin because it grows but he said you have to pull that back! He did it while he was asleep in surgery for me because it can be painful he said. He recommended To do it while they are asleep or in the tub. If you don’t do it the skin will attach that way. Also after you do it make sure you put Vaseline or A&D ointment on it! I pull it back now every time we diaper change and clean it really well!

My sons foreskin comes up a lot over the head of his penis still.  I make sure to pull it back a little to wipe it when he takes baths. The doctor told me that the skin could grow together if you don’t occasionally retract it and wipe.

It could be that he has a larger than average public fat pad above his penis that makes the skin move forward over the head. When he slims down it would look like a more normal circumcised penis. This is what happened with my first son. I was always worried about it when he was an infant, but now he is almost three and it looks normal.

Try making a “peace” sign with your fingers and pressing lightly on either side and see if it just pops back out. Sometimes they can just disappear and freak people out but it’s totally normal. If that doesn’t work, then maybe have it looked at.
