Family visits.. thoughts?

So my LO is 3 weeks 2 days and my mom and my fiancées father have yet to see the baby. 
We had initially said 2 weeks and it turned into another week after I mentioned last weekend that i wanted my mom to see him.    That turned into a disagreement and I totally understand this is not just my child but his as well. And I fully intend to respect him and his decision to protect our son. I just feel like we’ve all been robbed of so much due to Covid and want them to at least meet him in person. Obviously I want them to be masked and use all the suggested precautions I just feel so defeated. My fiancée finally agreed for my mom and his dad to stop by tomorrow.. but I know it’s probably going to be an issue. 
What are your feelings on the issue and how have you all gone about the family meeting you LOs if at all??

Our immediate family will not be restricted from meeting our new baby when the time comes.

I have an almost 2 year old and am 18 weeks pregnant. We’ll be keeping the same rules when baby arrives that we’ve had since the beginning of the pandemic, we see those who follow the same safety precautions as we do. Our circle is very small, but our son is safe. If your parents are being careful, only going out for essential needs, wearing masks whenever necessary, then I’d consider it. However, the new variants that have been identified are much more infectious, and a newborn is really susceptible to everything. It might be worth asking to fully quarantine for 2 weeks before visiting.

My husband and I would not take any unnecessary risks whatsoever with our child in a pandemic. None. Family can wait, and ours would gladly do so to protect a new baby. There are necessary risks such as pediatric visits, but other than things like that, it’s just not a risk worth taking (for me).

I’m expecting my third child. My parents are part of our COVID bubble so I won’t be restricting my parents access to my newborn (my mum is the most helpful person when I’ve had babies- my husband and I love having her around!). My in laws haven’t seen us since the start of the pandemic, but they plan to travel (it’s not a long drive and they have been and will continue to follow precautions) to see their new grand baby. We all get COVID tested regularly and my husbands parents will get tested when they arrive and will quarantine for a few days, get a second test and then see the baby. 
There will be masks worn and lots of hand washing. But my family just can’t keep putting off important family moments. It’s hurting us. So we’re being as safe as we can.

Weve just decided if one of us ever feels unsafe then that is who we listen too. I know if I were feeling protective and unsafe and my husband made me accept family over I’d feel so upset

Since this was my second baby I had to have my parents watch my son while I was in the hospital so when they dropped him off at home they came in with masks on and held our daughter. My boyfriends family waited a month to hold her and they’ve only seen her a handful of times. But no ones held her more then 3 times. I’d rather everyone be mad at me for not seeing/holding our baby then making everyone happy and risking getting my newborn sick. It seems no one thinks about newborns not having a good immune system

We have not let family come to visit yet, only my mom lives close. My husband's family is out of state. Because of the season (flu, rsv, pneumonia, and now covid) we decided it was best to wait. My first got pneumonia at 2 months after my mom visited while sick (without letting us know she was sick). We have decided to continue to postpone visits for now pending an abnormal newborn screen.

My guy is almost 2 and we do either a two week or one week with rapid test quarantine before we get together with anyone outside our very small bubble. We request the same of the other party. I would do the same with a new baby.
