How long should you try to conceive before calling the dr? I am 35 my husband is 39. I am trying for #3. It’s been 5 1/2 years since our last one. We have been trying for 6 months now.

I was 36 when I spoke my my doctor after trying for 8 months or so. She ran tests. Bloodwork. We have two kids already, at the time 20
Months and 3 years. She didn’t think my tubes were blocked or anything with my uterus because of how recently we had my second. (I also didn’t want to spend a ton of money On testing since we already had our two daughters.) When my bloodwork came back normal she sent my husband out to get a semen analysis and after that was good she wrote me a script for Letrozole. I never used it because we got pregnant the same month my husbands sperm test came back ok. But we tried for 14 months.

After age 35 you can get checked after trying 6 months. But you may want to try the clear blue ovulation kit. My ovulation days changed after I had my first.  It will be helpful anyway to your specialist to know if you ovulate or not.
