Updated: drs already called with results. I passed my diabetes test! He’s just going to be a large baby!

I am 28 weeks and one day. At my ultrasound about a month ago when I was 24 weeks my boy was measuring two weeks larger, today I had a follow up ultrasound today and he’s measuring large again by two weeks. He’s showing almost 4 lbs. had my diabetes test today so waiting for results on that.

Has anyone dealt with this and NOT had gestational diabetes?!

I’m going through this exact thing right now! At 26 weeks he was 2 pounds and 13 oz and measuring in the 97th percentile. They thought it was gestational diabetes but I came back all good! He’s my first baby and now when I come in they make me earn the ultrasound tech of how much larger he is measuring so they don’t worry. I’m glad someone else is going through this too!

Is this your first baby? Sometimes ppl just have large babiesI'm 27 weeks with diabetes and baby measures around 2.1 lbs when I was 26 weeks. Id wait for your results and go from there but a big baby doesn't mean GD always. Good luck hon

No. It’ll be number 3 and the first two never measured like this.

My first son measured big throughout my entire pregnancy. He ended up delivering at 10lbs 3oz. I did not have gestational diabetes.

Not me but my best friend just this past fall. She consistently measured 2 weeks ahead the entire pregnancy. Never had GD. And baby only came 6 days early. The doctor kept pressing her to schedule an induction bc the baby was measuring big and she held her ground and said no. Baby was 8lbs so not huge. Definitely don't let them force that on you. Baby will come when it's ready!
