So my bf and I have been talking about the vaccine and I had mentioned that even though I’m not in the bracket of getting the vaccine yet, it may be possible for me to get it because my mom is a medical worker. He got upset and said that if I managed to get the vaccine before his mom and grandma ( who both have had cancer) he would be offended. That comment hurt me and in my opinion was uncalled for. He claims he truly believes that the vaccine needs to go to elderly and immune compromised people primarily. I understand that and I agree however what he said was unnecessary and truly showed me the kind of person he is. When we talked about it he claims he was just scared because he doesn’t have anyone in the medical field like I do and he’s dealing with the possibility of his family dying because they don’t know where to get the vaccine nor know if they can. I told him instead of getting mad and saying something hurtful like that why not ask for my help or support. Tbh it just makes me not wanna be with him because it was an asshole thing to say. Not to mention he tried to justify why he said that to me.... he apologized but still
