Okay ladies, I have a bit of an issue and I thought I would consult other vagina owners.

I am 21 years old and about a week ago today I noticed a hard lump down there. Since the first day I found it it has gotten more painful when I do things like sitting and sometimes walking. It’s positioned in kind of a weird spot, it feels like a hard ball underneath and slightly left of the vaginal opening, I can feel part of it through the opening. I have not had sex since finding it for fear that it will hurt.

I don’t have any other symptoms like strange discard or any bleeding. Sometimes when I’m laying down I can get a sharp pain for a second but it doesn’t last long.

I’m very unfortunately a huge hypochondriac and am very very scared. I of course spend much of my time googling symptoms like I shouldn’t and read a bunch about cysts and cancer and just... ugh. I’m praying it’s just a weird cyst and will find out at my appointment in a few days.. I keep trying to convince myself cancer at my age is very rare..

I guess I’m looking for any peace of mind from you guys, what do you guys think it sounds like? Has anyone experienced this?

Edit: I forgot to mention it’s a good-ish size maybe about an inch around
