7 days late, negative test!

Ok guys so my periods are usually irregular so a missed period isn’t really an obvious sign for me. So I chose not to test and wait it out especially since i still have cramps. Today however I have been feeling super hot randomly and then threw up a lil bit so I decided what the hell let me test. It was negative. My last period was 12/18/20 do u think it’s still to early ? Could I still possibly be pregnant or should I just let it go and just take it as a missed period nothing more?
